Why this blog
I have always wanted to keep a prayer journal. With the start of the New Year, it is my resolution to write my prayers as offerings to the Lord. Revelation tells us that our prayers are like golden bowls of incense that rise up to the Lord in heaven. My first prayer is that this blog reaches the Lord and He searches my heart. Forgive my sins, oh Lord and be with me, inside me, in my spirit, always. Let me live for you, always. As Thomas Merton once said, "the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so, but I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. " Help me oh Lord to be used by you as your instrument. Show me your ways, and teach me. Guide me in your paths and lead me to what you desire for my life with my wonderful husband. We have been praying for a child for many years now. Please talk to our hearts and answer us in this desire. Let us know your ways, as we desire to please you with our desire to have a baby, and raise him or her to be a child of yours, as we are children of you too. Amen.
I PENNED THAT A LITTLE LESS THAN TWO YEARS AGO. SINCE THEN, THE LORD HAS MOVED MOUNTAINS FOR US AS WE HELD TIGHTLY TO HIS WORD AND HIS PROMISES, NEVER WAVERING THAT HE WOULD ANSWER, ALL IN HIS PERFECT TIME!
FOR WE ARE MODERN DAY 'SARAH AND ABRAHAM'. I AM 47, MY HUSBAND 46. AFTER 4 MISCARRIAGES AND A FAILED ADOPTION, THE DESIRE FOR A BABY STILL WAS IN OUR HEARTS. WE CONTINUED TO PRAY AND TRUST THAT HE PUT THAT DESIRE THERE FOR A REASON. WE WALKED WITH HIM THROUGH FIRE AND HAVE COME OUT ON A MOUNTAIN TOP. WE GIVE ALL THE GLORY TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST FOR OUR LITTLE MIRACLE!
I GAVE BIRTH TO OUR SON, DAVID ALLEN JR. ON NOVEMBER 13, 2008. HE IS PERFECT! HE IS HEAVEN SENT! WE LIFT HIM UP TO THE LORD!
